Delft Korean Impact Academy

The Korean Delft Impact Academy is a joint initiative designed to deepen cooperation between Korea and the Netherlands in the field of semiconductors

The program brings together 30 Korean students and several professors for an intensive academic and industry‑oriented experience hosted at TU Delft. It follows the structure of last year’s successful edition in Eindhoven, with a continued emphasis on knowledge exchange, talent development, and long‑term collaboration.

Throughout the program, participants explore key aspects of the semiconductor value chain, engage with Dutch researchers and engineers, and gain insight into how both countries contribute to global chip innovation. The Academy serves as a platform where Korean and Dutch perspectives meet, allowing students and faculty to learn from each other and build connections that support future cooperation.

The program is organized in partnership with the Korea Institute for Advancement of Technology (KIAT), a national organization under the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy. KIAT supports Korea’s industrial and technological development through international cooperation, talent programs, and innovation policy. Its involvement in the Academy reflects Korea’s commitment to strengthening global partnerships in strategic sectors such as semiconductors.

Korea and the Netherlands have a complementary relationship across many areas of science and technology. Both countries maintain strong innovation ecosystems, and their collaboration spans fields such as advanced manufacturing, mobility, energy technology, materials science, and digital systems.

Research institutes, universities, and companies from both nations work together through joint projects, exchanges, and talent programs that support long‑term knowledge sharing. The Korean Delft Impact Academy contributes to this cooperation by giving participants a focused opportunity to learn from one another and explore future collaboration.

The Korean Delft Impact Academy builds on this shared foundation, offering participants a structured opportunity to understand each other’s strengths, exchange ideas, and explore future collaboration.
